Just let me cry – Hilary Weeks; the song I can listen to any time anywhere

My first encounter with this song was in 2013. My then-husband and I watched a beautiful movie, but what caught my attention the most was the soundtrack “If I only had today – Hilary Weeks.” It was so beautiful that I determined to get it the next day in office, and get it I did. I however got a collection of the artist, and one of them was Just let me cry.

It was a time when I was hurting, things were going southward in my marriage, that song came and just ministered to me… it gave me strength to cry. I realized that there was no short cut, I had to cry through my pain, after all; it was not to last.

Then, I alsoloved the song because I could identify with the lyrics, today I love the song because it walked me through the valleys, it was loyal and I had better be loyal too…hihihihihi

Anyway, let me share it, I know you will love it too regardless of whether you are on the mountain or the valley.

“Just Let Me Cry”

I believe that everything happens for a reason
We’re not just tossed by the wind or left in the hands of fate
But sometimes life sends a storm that’s unexpected
And we’re forced to face our deepest pain

When I feel the heartache begin to pull me under
I dig my heels in deep and I fight to keep my ground
Still at times the hurt inside grows stronger
And there’s nothing I can do but let it out

So just let me cry
I know it’s hard to see
But the pain I feel
Isn’t going away today
So just let me cry
Till every tear has fallen
Don’t ask when, don’t ask why
Just let me cry

When I agreed that God could put this heart inside me
I understood that there would be a chance that it would break
But I know He knows exactly how I’m feeling
And I know in time He’ll take the pain away
But for now

Just let me cry
I know it’s hard to see
But the pain I feel
Isn’t going away today
So just let me cry
Till every tear has fallen
Don’t ask when, don’t ask why
Just let me cry

I’ve felt joy the kind that makes my heart want to sing
And so my tears are not a surrender
I will feel that way again
But for now
For this moment

Just let me cry
I know it’s hard to see
But the pain I feel
Isn’t going away today
Just let me cry
Till every tear has fallen
Don’t ask when and don’t ask why
Just let me cry

I believe that everything happens for a reason
