Lessons from the first half of 2013

As posted on my Facebook timeline on 30th June, 2013

  1. Jesus is the only way to the Father, no discussions on this.
  2. Do not judge someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes.
  3. Sisters are like big thighs, they always rub each other, sometimes the good way and other times the bad way, but they stick together.
  4. Give more time to your spouse than your babies because in about 20 years it will be just the two of u, again.
  5. Have what you want, but want what u have.
  6. Spend lots of time with the people you love doing the things u enjoy, your spirits will be up most of the time.
  7. Tell your spouse that you love them daily. I love u M
  8. Love is not only a noun, it is a verb – a doing word.
  9. Do not spend your life looking back, what is done is done.
  10. If u ever have doubt that there is a God, just look around u there is enough evidence.
  11. Sometimes God brings you someone at the right time for all the right reasons.
  12. You can not be strong always, it is okay to break down and cry.
  13. Stop hating those who hate you, divert that energy to loving those who love you.
  14. Marriage is wonderful, but it is not easy being married.
  15. Of all the rocks upon which we build our lives, family is the most important.
  16. Forgive those that hurt u, but do not forget the lesson there in.
  17. Only God does not change.
  18. Sometimes do not get shelter from the rain, instead get your dancing shoes on and dance away.
  19. In a relationship, talk like best friends, play like children, argue like husband and wife and protect each other like siblings.
  20. Children are true gifts from God.
  21. I give not because I have a lot, but because I know what it means not to have.
  22. When your arms can’t reach the people u love, hug them with your prayers.
  23. Learn to pray in the Word, the devil trembles at it.
  24. Don’t hold in your anger or leave things unspoken.
  25. Friends bring heaven closer to our hearts.
