The living sacrifice

All through the Old Testament we see ‘dead’ sacrifices (an animal killed in the process of sacrificing). Today, however, we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices to God.

One of the characteristics of a living thing is that it moves. Likewise, a living sacrifice is at liberty to stay at or leave the altar as and when it pleases. Sometimes the fire will be so much that you will want to get off, but it is not to consume you. That fire is to refine you, to make you better.

How I pray you shall remain put because that there is your spiritual act of worship.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. ~ Romans 12:1

May you offer God true and proper worship this new month. Remember, that fire at the altar isn’t to consume you. A victorious new month! 🎊🎈🎉
